Automotive Production Supervisor

Position Objective

Coordinate and lead the operational activities of the production area, ensuring compliance with established programs related to safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading the workforce, optimizing the use of available resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to operational excellence.

Requirements and Experience

Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in production areas within the automotive industry.

Conversational English proficiency.

Experience managing and leading production personnel.

Ability to work toward performance objectives and metrics.

Strong teamwork facilitation and effective communication skills.

Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and 5S principles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Results-oriented with a focus on achieving operational targets and KPIs.

Technical Knowledge

Quality Management Systems and Product Safety requirements.

Production line management and operational issue resolution.

Implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.

Participation in internal, customer, and third-party audits.

Knowledge of Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Inventory control and material replenishment systems.

Problem-solving and root cause analysis tools.

Management of skills matrices and employee training records.





Data-driven decision-making based on operational performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations to ensure production plans are achieved.

Coordinate, develop, and support team members through training, coaching, feedback, and continuous follow-up.

Promote a safe, productive, and quality-focused work environment.

Manage staffing requirements proactively to avoid disruptions to operations.

Actively participate in continuous improvement projects, root cause analysis, and problem-solving initiatives.

Follow up on operational meetings and actions resulting from audits and performance indicators.

Escalate production, quality, maintenance, or safety issues in a timely manner.

Ensure the efficient utilization of human and material resources.

Address employee relations matters and collaborate with Human Resources on appropriate actions.

Balance workloads and ensure fair distribution of tasks among team members.

Maintain up-to-date departmental documentation, including training records and skills matrices.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement actions to support the achievement of departmental goals.

Location: Puerto Interior/ Santa Rosa Plan de Ayala
