Quote from Hiring Manager:
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Export team. We contribute significantly to the company's global growth by exporting our key tequila brands, such as Herradura and Jimador, as well as New Mix and Agave Nectar, to 42 countries worldwide.
Brown-Forman Mexico obtained CTPAT certification in 2014, which has strengthened supply chain security and driven this growth.
You will have the opportunity to work and contribute daily with different areas and business partners to boost our export operations. We are looking for someone passionate about foreign trade and customer relations, who can supervise customs brokers, warehousing, carriers, and foreign trade advisors, and perform the general responsibilities of the position to contribute to the company's growth.
Meaningful Work From Day One:
- The Senior Export Analyst is accountable for orchestrating end-to-end export logistics and international trade operations across Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, ensuring full customs compliance.
- The analyst must fulfill internal and external stakeholder requirements by maintaining optimal service levels.
- To ensure seamless global distribution and timely order fulfillment,
this position requires cross-functional collaboration with Corporate Customer Service, Supply and Production Planning, Quality Control, Distribution Centers, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, and Regulatory/Governmental Agencies.
What You Can Expect:
- Coordinate end-to-end export shipments received from Corporate Customer Service and US Supply Planning, encompassing finished goods, commercial samples, bulk shipments, and 'Buy the Barrel' orders.
- Establish strong communication channels with Customer Service to provide real-time order tracking, risk mitigation, and status updates.
- Coordinate seamlessly with Distribution Center personnel, logistics carriers, and Customs Brokers to execute efficient freight forwarding, routing, and customs clearance for all export orders.
- Collaborate weekly with Production Planning to conduct deep-dive analyses of critical inventory and high-demand products, preventing stockouts and ensuring supply alignment.
- Generate, integrate, and validate comprehensive customs documentation for export clearance, strictly adhering to current international trade laws and customs legislation. Issue and manage Certificates of Origin (via the Ministry of Economy and free-format templates) to meet specific client and trade agreement requirements.
- Spearhead strategic inventory management initiatives to minimize holding costs and mitigate the impact of slow-moving and obsolete export inventory.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 2-5 years of relative experience
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or related, with experience in AEO and CTPAT certifications and knowledge of International Logistics,
Customs regulations, and Trade Compliance
- Demonstrated success managing different projects simultaneously
- Planning processes to track and support the management of the different programs
- Successful track commitments from internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with a broad range of business associates.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with a heavy emphasis on the ability to secure support from different partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work within established time frames.
What Makes You Unique:
- Critical thinking: The ability to analyze information and solve problems
- Teamwork: The ability to collaborate with others
- Communication: The ability to convey ideas clearly and interact with others
- Adaptability: The ability to adjust to new situations and work styles
