In this role, you will support project logistics operations by coordinating end-to-end shipments, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate data and communication, contributing to successful project execution and on-time delivery.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Project Logistics NCA.This role is based in Irapuato, Gto.However, it involves up to 10% travel domestically.Team you will belong toYou will join a team of seven project logistics professionals focused on international logistics coordination and execution.
Our team plays a key role in ensuring smooth project delivery by managing complex global shipments and compliance requirements, with a shared focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.We collaborate closely with freight forwarders, carriers, distribution centers, and internal project teams, and our ways of working emphasize clear communication, accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.What you'll doProvide day-to-day operational support to U.S. counterparts,



ensuring efficient workflow and continuity of actives.Coordinate end-to-end logistics activities and multi-modal transport solutions for allocated projectsPrepare shipping and customs documentation for integral imports and exports across multiple entitiesSupport trade compliance by reviewing documentation and ensuring regulatory adherenceMonitor shipment status and update systems such as SAP/TM/SMM and shipment trackersCommunicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and distribution centers to track deliveriesCoordinate last-mile delivery operations and manage exceptions and delaysProvide insights to support negotiations with 3PLs, 4PLs, and logistics service providersSupport team development by assisting in mentoring, training, and continuous improvement initiativesWhat you'll bring:Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsSound knowledge of INCOTERMS and international trade conceptsGood understanding of supply chain and logistics processesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP/TM/SMM systemsStrong communication skills for working with vendors and cross-functional teamsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesBusiness Degree (or similar field) or progress toward such qualificationExperienced in an international logistics role or similar environmentNice to have:Experience with customs clearance, vendor management, and claims managementExperience handling complex shipments and logistics coordination in project environmentsWhat's in it for you:At Metso, you will combine meaningful work with opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact in a supportive and inclusive environment.
