As an OTC Cash Applications Analyst at Aptiv, you will support the accurate and timely application, reconciliation, and resolution of customer payments.In this role, you will analyze payment and remittance information, perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and unidentified payments, and collaborate with different functions to maintain accurate customer accounts.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCash Applications & Payment ProcessingEnsure timely application of payments received through wire transfers, ACH, checks, deposits, and other payment methodsReview bank transactions, payment files, cash reports, and remittance informationAnalyze invoices, credit notes, deductions, bank references, and open items to determine the correct allocation of paymentsApply and clear payments in SAP and/or HighRadius in accordance with accounting policies and established proceduresEnsure receipts are recorded against the correct entity, account, and customerReconciliation & Exception ManagementPerform daily and month-end reconciliations between bank accounts, Accounts Receivable, unapplied cash accounts, and the general ledgerInvestigate unidentified payments, missing remittances, duplicate payments, overpayments, discrepancies, unrecognized references, and deposits received in incorrect bank accountsRequest remittance information and clarifications from customers, banks, Treasury, Collections, and other involved teamsCreate, update, and close cases in ServiceNow or other case-management toolsMaintain accurate records and trackers for cash, residual items, pending remittances, and exceptionsEscalate high-value items, close risks, system failures, missing documentation, and unresolved cases according to established processesReporting & Process ImprovementPrepare and analyze Cash Applications reports and metrics, including applied cash, unapplied cash, residual aging, productivity, accuracy, and service-level performanceIdentify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and continuous improvementSupport activities related to process transitions, documentation,



and knowledge transferParticipate in operational meetings, close reviews, audits, training sessions, and special projects related to Cash ApplicationsCross-Functional Collaboration & ControlsCollaborate with Collections to maintain accurate customer balances and support the resolution of outstanding itemsWork with Treasury, Accounting, Billing, Credit, Sales, and other related functionsComply with internal controls, audit policies, segregation-of-duties requirements, and documentation standardsMaintain confidentiality of financial and banking informationYour BackgroundBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related fieldAdvanced English proficiency for verbal and written communication with global teams, customers, and banksMinimum 1 year of experience in OTC processes, Cash Applications, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, or related areasStrong numerical and analytical skills to investigate and resolve unidentified payments, discrepancies, deductions, duplicate payments, and other exceptionsKnowledge of basic accounting principles, Accounts Receivable, and the Order-to-Cash cycleKnowledge of SAP or other ERP systems, including open-item review, clearing, and customer account analysisExperience with Cash Applications and case-management tools, preferably HighRadius and ServiceNowIntermediate Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reconciliations, data lookups, and report preparationProficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookHigh attention to detail and accuracy when recording, applying, and reconciling financial transactionsStrong organization and priority-management skillsEffective cross-functional communication and collaboration skillsResults-oriented approach, sense of urgency, initiative,
