OverviewOverview In addition to our traditional payments' portfolio, Mastercard is aggressively expanding into new payment flow and leveraging the digital and connected world of people and economies to deliver faster, reliable, and more efficient propositions to make payments – send or receive money.
The Cross Border program is part of the wider Disbursement & Remittances business that we are looking to expand at a compounded rate of 50% per year for the next 5 years.




We are building solutions to enable payments in an any-to-any format – anyone, anywhere can send or receive money using any channel – money exchanges, banks, digital wallets, cards or fintech apps – providing a seamless and unified experience for both individuals and business to move money.
We are looking for a passionate, innovative and experienced engineers with a proven track record in leading the evolution of software products and their implementation in various markets – comfortable both working hands‐on as well as guiding and mentoring a team of engineers and critically always challenging the status quo and pushing and driving the technology roadmap to ensure that the solutions leverage technology to the maximum extent.

Strong hands‐on experience developing scalable, secure, and maintainable applications using Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA, Angular, and SQL databases.
Solid understanding of secure software development practices, including familiarity with industry standards such as OWASP, CWE, and SEI CERT, as well as vulnerability management and remediation.
Knowledge of core engineering principles required to build and support mission‐critical applications, including security, reliability, performance, observability, customer experience, and service-oriented architectures.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues through debugging, root cause analysis, and performance tuning, including analysis of thread, heap, and memory dumps.
Experience leveraging AI‐assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and software delivery outcomes.
Strong understanding of source control, branching strategies (e.
