We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Technical Lead with 10+ years of overall experience to lead the development, enhancement, modernization, and ongoing support of a multi-brand Digital Editorial and Media Platform.

The platform is built using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, Turborepo, and pnpm workspaces , with multiple independently deployable brand applications sharing common domain, GraphQL, UI, media, search, advertising, tracking, and platform capabilities.

The Technical

Lead will combine hands-on development and architecture responsibilities with technical delivery leadership, guiding engineers across application development, cloud, OTT/video integrations, CI/CD, observability, performance, and AI-assisted engineering.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze and understand the existing multi-brand Next.js architecture , shared packages, business workflows, integrations, and deployment model.
2. Provide hands-on technical leadership across Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, cloud, media, and platform integrations .
3. Design and develop scalable digital applications using Next.js App Router , reusable components, shared libraries, domain models, and APIs.
4. Work within and guide engineering practices for a Turborepo / pnpm monorepo architecture supporting multiple brand applications.
5. Lead integration with Contentful CMS , including GraphQL queries, content models, preview, publishing, webhooks, caching, and revalidation workflows.
6. Develop and support integrations with Algolia, Cloudinary, video/CDN services, secure playback, and Fastly-based domain routing and redirects .

Provide technical oversight for OTT/video capabilities , including VOD, live streaming, adaptive bitrate delivery, DRM concepts, and playback integrations.
8. Lead integrations with advertising, analytics, experimentation, tracking, SEO, sitemap, RSS, and syndication platforms .
9. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, responsive design, caching, Core Web Vitals, security, and reliability .
10. Drive engineering quality through architecture reviews, technical design reviews, code reviews, coding standards, and automated testing strategies .
11. Lead CI/CD and release engineering using GitHub Actions, automated quality gates, Vercel deployments, and AWS services such as ECS, ECR, and CloudWatch.
12. Troubleshoot complex production issues using Datadog APM/RUM, Sentry, CloudWatch, logs, metrics, and traces , and lead root-cause analysis and post-release validation.
13. Guide Agile delivery including backlog refinement, estimation, sprint/release planning, risk management, dependency tracking, and delivery metrics .
14. Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, UX, QA, DevOps, editorial/content, analytics, architecture, and vendor teams to drive successful delivery.

Identify and implement AI-assisted and agentic engineering capabilities for Jira triage, knowledge retrieval, code analysis, root-cause identification, fix recommendations, automated testing, and draft PR generation, while retaining appropriate human review and governance controls.

Required Technical Skills

- Must have 10+ years of experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development .
- Strong experience with Next.js App Router and modern Next.js architecture.
- Strong experience with Node.js and REST/API development .
- Experience working with GraphQL-based applications .
- Strong experience with headless CMS architectures ; hands-on Contentful experience is highly preferred .
- Experience working with monorepo architectures , preferably Turborepo and pnpm workspaces .
- Strong understanding of reusable component and shared-library design.
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS, responsive web development, and modern UI engineering.
- Experience with server-side rendering, static generation, caching, and revalidation strategies.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and SaaS platforms.
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and Vercel deployments .
- Working knowledge of cloud deployment concepts and AWS.
- Strong understanding of web performance, security, accessibility, and SEO.
- Experience troubleshooting production applications using logs, metrics, traces, and monitoring tools.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or equivalent
