Key Responsibilities

Oversee the end-to-end logistics process for perishable food products, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

Manage cold chain integrity throughout transportation, ensuring optimal temperature control and handling procedures.

Coordinate with shipping lines, air cargo carriers, and trucking companies to secure capacity and negotiate rates.

Ensure compliance with all international regulations regarding the transport of food products, including customs and sanitary requirements.

Utilize logistics software and tracking systems to monitor shipments in real-time and proactively address potential delays or issues.

Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key logistics partners and suppliers.

Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges related to transportation, customs, or product handling.

Prepare detailed reports on shipment status, costs, and performance metrics.

Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including procurement, sales, and quality assurance, in a remote setting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.





Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in logistics, with a strong focus on perishable food products and cold chain management.

In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, incoterms, and customs procedures.

Proven experience managing complex, multi-modal transportation networks (sea, air, land).

Proficiency in using logistics management software, ERP systems, and tracking technologies.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships remotely.

High attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated and highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities from a remote location.

Fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred for international dealings.
