Manufacturing Director / Plant Director – Metalworking Industry

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director / Plant Director to lead a metalworking manufacturing operation in Guanajuato, Mexico.

The adecuado candidate must have a proven track record managing metalworking plants, leading large operational teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, and delivering measurable results in productivity, profitability, quality, and operational efficiency.

This position is exclusively for executives with at least 8 years of direct experience managing metalworking manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead all plant operations, including manufacturing, production planning, maintenance, quality, logistics, and inventory management.
- Manage operational budgets, production costs, capital expenditures, and profitability.
- Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary manufacturing teams.
- Optimize production capacity, equipment utilization, and operational resources.




- Establish and monitor KPIs related to productivity, cost, quality, delivery, and safety.
- Implement strategic initiatives to improve plant performance and achieve business objectives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience as Plant Director, Plant Manager, or Manufacturing Director within the metalworking industry.
- Proven experience directly managing manufacturing plants and their daily operations.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing production budgets, operational costs, and large teams.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven track record of operational improvements and measurable business results.

Important – Mandatory Requirements

We will only consider candidates who currently hold or have previously held direct plant leadership positions in metalworking manufacturing operations.

Consultants, external advisors, and professionals without direct experience managing metalworking plants will not be considered.

Compensation: MXN $250,000 gross per month.
