We are seeking a Social Media Content Specialist to develop, create, and manage organic social content for a physician-founded digestive health brand based in New York. You will collaborate with our team to transform medical and educational information into posts, reels, and stories that feel original, culturally relevant, and easy to understand—without relying on generic or AI-generated filler.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain a consistent organic posting schedule across social platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Create engaging posts, Reels/short-form videos, and Stories while maintaining brand voice and credibility.
- Translate physician-provided information (and related health topics) into clear, digestible educational content.
- Develop and manage content calendars (planning, scheduling, and follow-through).
- Maintain strong visual consistency and a clean brand presentation (formatting, visuals, captions, and tone).
- Stay current on U.S. social media trends and incorporate them thoughtfully into content ideas.
- Support community engagement, including monitoring comments/DMs and identifying topics that resonate.
- Use sound judgment to ensure messaging is accurate, responsible, and aligned with content standards.

Qualifications

- Professional fluency in English (written and verbal).




- Strong understanding of current U.S. social media trends and content formats.
- Ability to take direction, adapt to brand style, and turn ideas into high-quality content consistently.
- Creative and resourceful: able to make educational content engaging without oversimplifying.
- Highly organized and proactive with strong time management skills.
- Curious and comfortable working with medical/health topics (a formal medical background is not required).
- Strong attention to detail regarding branding, visual presentation, and copy consistency.

Important Note (Scope of Role)

- Paid advertising and performance marketing are managed separately. This role focuses entirely on organic social media content creation and engagement.

Nice to Have

- Experience creating healthcare, science, or wellness social content.
- Copywriting and/or video scripting experience (hooks, captions, and short scripts).
- Familiarity with content sourcing and basic research best practices.

Schedule & Commitment

- Part-time: 2 hours per day, Monday–Friday.
- Working Hours: Adaptable within 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (New York time).
