Senior Observability Engineer | Hybrid | Providencia, Guadalajara

As a Senior Observability Engineer, you'll lead the design and implementation of enterprise observability solutions, with a primary focus on Datadog. Working across infrastructure, network, cloud, and application environments, you will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and strategic alignment between technical execution and business objectives.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

Strategic Leadership: Lead observability workshops and major incident response coordination across APAC, AMER, and EMEA regions. Architect enterprise-scale solutions and drive organizational improvements in monitoring standards.

Advanced Implementation: Build, configure, and optimize Datadog capabilities with an AI-first methodology. Develop sophisticated dashboards, SLIs, SLOs, and build scalable automation using Rundeck, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and Git-based workflows.

Innovation & AI: Configure and optimize AIOps capabilities (anomaly detection, event correlation). Leverage generative AI and AI-assisted engineering to enhance observability, accelerate troubleshooting, and reduce operational toil.

Cross-Functional Influence: Integrate Datadog with enterprise platforms (ServiceNow, CI/CD pipelines, cloud services) and collaborate with globally distributed teams to resolve complex performance issues.

Required Qualifications





Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

5–8+ years of progressive experience in observability, monitoring, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or application performance monitoring with demonstrated technical leadership.

Deep hands-on experience implementing and supporting Datadog in large-scale enterprise environments.

Expert understanding of modern observability concepts (metrics, logs, traces, SLOs, error budgets).

Advanced expertise with automation/orchestration (Rundeck, Ansible) and strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).

Extensive experience with REST APIs, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) practices.

Expert-level knowledge of major cloud platforms (Azure and AWS; GCP is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

Proven expertise across multiple observability domains (APM, network, cloud, and digital experience monitoring).

Track record of leading AIOps strategy and implementing generative AI for operational efficiency.

Experience leading high-visibility, cross-functional initiatives across general time zones (APAC, AMER, EMEA).

Relevant certifications in Datadog, Cloud Technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), or SRE.
