Senior GCP Platform Engineer | Hybrid | Providencia, Guadalajara

What This Job Involves

This is a hands-on, technically deep position that requires a product ownership mindset and strong stakeholder engagement. You will define the architecture, policies, and standards for the platform, partnering closely with Security, Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), AI, and Software Development teams to ensure the environment reflects industry best practices and supports both traditional and AI-driven workloads.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

Platform Ownership & Administration: Act as the product owner for GCP. Manage day-to-day administration (projects, folders, IAM, networking, quotas) ensuring a stable, well-governed global estate.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Manage the global platform exclusively through IaC (Terraform). Build reusable modules and CI/CD pipelines to fully automate provisioning, configuration, and change management.

Global Landing Zone Delivery: Complete the general landing zone IaC blueprint, codifying it as the standard reference for standing up GCP for new products and highly regulated regions.

Security & GRC: Own the platform's security posture. Implement identity and access management, network security, data protection,



and continuous compliance monitoring to meet internal and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement: Drive request tracking from intake to resolution. Build strong relationships with enterprise architecture, application owners, and regional teams to communicate roadmap and platform capabilities.

Technical & Professional Requirements

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure/platform engineering experience, with extensive, deep expertise specifically on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

IaC & Automation: Strong practical experience with Terraform (or equivalent) and modern CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and testing for infrastructure.

Security & Architecture: Solid understanding of cloud security architecture, IAM best practices, and GRC frameworks.

Product & Stakeholder Mindset: Proven ability to treat a platform as a product, balancing competing priorities across security, delivery speed, and cost while engaging global stakeholders.

Multi-Cloud: Experience with AWS and Azure is highly valued.

Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer) are strongly preferred.
