We are looking for an Accounting Manager who combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership, ownership, and a continuous-improvement mindset. This role will help build a more scalable, efficient, and technology-enabled Finance function.

The Role
As Accounting Manager, you will lead the day-to-day accounting operation and a team of 3–5 Accounting Analysts, ensuring accurate and timely financial information across MStar's portfolios and entities.
You will own the monthly close, accounting controls, financial reporting, and audit coordination, while partnering with Tax, Treasury, Operations, Legal, Technology, and Finance leadership.
Beyond execution, you will be expected to improve processes, leverage automation and technology, and build a high-performing accounting team.

What You’ll Do




Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Lead the end-to-end accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, AP, collections, payroll accounting, and portfolio accounting.
• Own the monthly close and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Review financial statements, reconciliations, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican NIF and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Oversee accounting treatment of financial products, including interest income, portfolio provisioning, factoring, and commissions.

Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–5 Accounting Analysts.
• Set expectations, manage performance, and build technical capabilities.
• Ensure consistent delivery during close, audits, and regulatory deadlines.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
