Position SummaryWe are looking for a highly analytical and motivated Cost Analyst / Manufacturing Finance Analyst to join our Finance team in a manufacturing environment.
This position is adecuado for someone early in their career who has strong analytical skills, enjoys understanding how manufacturing processes work, and wants to develop expertise in cost accounting, SAP and financial analytics.
The successful candidate does not need to be an expert in manufacturing costing on day one. We are looking for someone with strong fundamentals, curiosity, attention to detail and the ability to learn complex processes.
The role will initially support our current costing processes while progressively helping the organization improve, document and automate them.
Key ResponsibilitiesCost Accounting• Support the calculation and analysis of standard manufacturing costs.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead and manufacturing cost components.
• Support monthly cost accounting and closing activities.
• Analyze purchase price variances (PPV).
• Analyze manufacturing spending, volume and absorption variances.
• Support product and SKU-level cost analysis.
• Assist with inventory valuation and reconciliations.
• Support cycle-count and physical-inventory analysis.
• Investigate significant cost variances and coordinate findings with Operations.
Manufacturing Finance• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Purchasing to understand the financial impact of manufacturing decisions.
• Develop an understanding of BOMs, routings, labor standards, machine rates, scrap, yield and production volumes.
• Support cost-reduction and productivity initiatives.
• Develop financial analyses that help Operations identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support evaluation of new products, manufacturing processes and changes to existing processes.
