• We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of automotive components, with a focus on 3D modeling, surface design, mechanical part design, and product integration. The ideal candidate will have experience with CATIA V5, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;), and mechanical design principles, preferably within the automotive industry.
• The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional and general teams to develop products that meet customer specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
• - Review customer requirements and engineering specifications with guidance from senior engineers.
• - Create and modify 3D components and assemblies using CATIA V5.
• - Support design activities using Part Design and Generative Shape Design (GSD).
• - Prepare and update 2D engineering drawings according to established standards.
• - Apply basic GD&T; principles and support tolerance stack-up activities.
• - Implement design changes based on engineering feedback and customer requirements.
• - Learn and apply design guidelines for plastic components and injection molding.
• - Support design reviews and document engineering decisions.
• - Assist with technical documentation and preparation of design justifications.
• - Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve design issues.
• - Support product validation activities and implement changes identified during testing.
• - Complete assigned tasks according to project procedures, quality expectations, and timelines.
Mandatory Skills Description:
• - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
