Finance Operations Associate – Marketing Finance

About the Role

Valenta is seeking an experienced Finance Operations Associate – Marketing Finance to support the financial operations of a global Marketing function.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Finance or Accounting, with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reconciliations, accounting close processes, and financial reporting.

This role requires close collaboration with Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense (T&E;), and Marketing teams to ensure financial accuracy, effective budget management, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Support day-to-day financial operations for a integral Marketing function.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and financial reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close processes.
- Review and validate accounting reports against approved budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor Marketing expenditure and support budget-versus-actual analysis.
- Ensure expenses are accurately allocated to internal billing codes for P&L; reporting.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, T&E;, and Marketing stakeholders.
- Identify financial discrepancies and resolve reconciliation issues in a timely manner.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.




- Support financial reporting activities in accordance with GAAP principles.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Finance Operations, Accounting, or a related financial role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Accrual accounting
- Financial reconciliations
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close
- Budget-versus-actual analysis
- Profit and Loss (P&L;) reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Marketing Finance or Marketing Operations.
- Experience managing Marketing or advertising budgets.
- Additional academic background or professional exposure to Marketing.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional Finance and business teams.
