Senior Java Developers – AWS Cloud Migration

Location: Mexico (100% Remote)

Working Hours: Must be available to work during U.S. Eastern Time (ET) business hours

We are looking for experienced Senior Java Developers with strong hands-on software engineering skills and proven experience migrating enterprise applications from On-Premises environments to AWS.

The idóneo candidates will combine deep Java/Spring Boot expertise with extensive AWS engineering and application modernization experience.

Required Technical Skills:

- 8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years of Java development.
- Strong proficiency in Java 11+ (Java 17/21 preferred), Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous integrations, SQL, and relational databases.
- Proven hands-on participation in at least 2 end-to-end On-Premises to AWS migration projects, including migration execution, production cutover, and stabilization.

Mandatory AWS Expertise (Hands-on):

- Networking: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, NACLs, Route 53, Load Balancers, and Hybrid Connectivity.
- Compute & Hosting: EC2, ECS/Fargate, EKS, Lambda, Auto Scaling,



and API Gateway.
- Databases: RDS/Aurora and experience with DynamoDB, ElastiCache, OpenSearch, or managed messaging services.
- Security: IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager/Parameter Store, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and encryption.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild, or equivalent tools.
- Monitoring & Operations: CloudWatch, troubleshooting, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.

Nice to Have:

- Docker, Kubernetes, and container migration patterns.
- Kafka, Amazon MSK, SQS/SNS, or EventBridge.
- AWS DMS/SCT and database migration experience.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets.
- AWS certifications.

Important: This role requires proven, hands-on AWS migration experience. Candidates with only theoretical AWS knowledge, certifications, or experience maintaining applications already hosted in AWS will not meet the requirements.
