THE COMPANY

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of specialty wire, cable, connectors, custom cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and molded interconnect solutions for demanding applications. The organization operates an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and has maintained manufacturing operations in Mexico for more than 40 years.

THE POSITION

Reporting directly to the Vice President, the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor will lead the company's Mexico operation of approximately 50 employees. This hands-on leader will oversee production, quality, delivery, cost, people, and continuous improvement while supporting the Sales Manager with technical reviews, quotations, customer requirements, and new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily manufacturing operations, prioritizing safety, quality, productivity, cost, and on-time delivery while supervising and developing production teams.
- Plan production, staffing, capacity, and materials based on customer demand; monitor KPIs and resolve operational constraints.
- Lead NPI, prototypes, process qualification, product transfers, engineering changes, and production launches.
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and specifications; coordinate processes, tooling, work instructions, testing, and inspections across departments.
- SupPort customer requirements, samples, technical inquiries,



product qualifications, and communication regarding capacity, delivery, and production risks.
- Ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance, quality standards, traceability, corrective actions, and effective root-cause analysis.
- Oversee cable and wire harness processes, including cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, termination, assembly, and electrical testing.
- Drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and improvements in quality, productivity, and workflow.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate employees while ensuring compliance with applicable Mexican labor, environmental, health, and safety requirements.

THE CANDIDATE

- Education & Experience: Engineering degree or equivalent; 7+ years in manufacturing, including 3+ years in leadership.
- NPI & Industrialization: Product transfers, blueprints, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Industry Experience: Connectors, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, specialty wire, or electromechanical products.
- Manufacturing Excellence: Quality systems, process control, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and ERP/MRP.
- Leadership & Communication: Bilingual English/Spanish, hands-on leadership, strong organization and follow-through.
- Additional Requirements: Valid U.S. visa; SENTRI highly preferred.
