Position Summary

The Mathematics Teacher (MYP I–IV) plans and delivers high-quality instruction aligned with international standards and the IB framework, ensuring the development of both conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. The role requires the effective implementation of the school's curriculum with rigor, the use of data to inform instruction, and the ability to support students with varying levels of performance. The teacher actively collaborates with the academic team, contributes to a structured and engaging learning environment, and demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional growth.

Responsibilities

Plans and delivers mathematics lessons aligned with international standards (CCSS/MYP).

? Plans and delivers the IB curriculum.

? Communicates with parents regarding concerns about students' overall performance.

? Assesses student progress and provides effective feedback.

? Creates a safe, stimulating, and inviting learning environment that promotes student-centered, inquiry-based learning.

? Differentiates instruction to support learning for all students.

? Actively participates in supervision duties during arrival, recess, and dismissal.

? Actively participates in Professional Development sessions held on the last Friday of each month.

? Monitors and supports students with varying levels of performance.

? Attends and collaborates in school events.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related field from a Physical-Mathematical Sciences School.





? As a second priority, holds an engineering degree with a strong mathematical background (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, etc.).

? Candidates from fields such as Biology, Chemistry, or other similar areas are not accepted.

Desirable job experience

? Demonstrates teaching experience at the secondary or upper primary level.

? Demonstrates experience in the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme (not mandatory).

? Manages groups with varying levels of student performance.

Knowledge, languages and skills

? Demonstrates a minimum English proficiency level of B2 (C1 preferred).

? Is able to deliver instruction entirely in English (explanations, instructions, and feedback). Demonstrates the ability to:

? Explain concepts clearly and in a structured manner.

? Promote logical reasoning and problem-solving.

? Design activities that develop mathematical thinking. Demonstrates experience or openness to work with:

? Differentiation to address varying levels within the classroom.

? Use of data to monitor and support student learning (e.g., MAP). Demonstrates personal competencies such as:

? Collaborative work (joint planning and follow-up).

- Proactivity.

? Willingness to receive feedback and improve professional practice.

? Organization and accountability in processes (planning, Submissions, student follow-up).

? Commitment to continuous learning.
