Financial Data Analyst

Compensation: $40,000–$45,000 annually (target range)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Financial Data Analyst to support our Finance team by analyzing financial data, building forecasts, and ensuring revenue accuracy across multiple e-commerce brands. This role goes beyond traditional reporting, requiring someone who can transform raw transaction data into reliable financial insights.

You will work closely with the Finance team and Data Engineer to improve financial reporting, maintain accurate forecasts, and provide visibility into revenue, expenses, and profitability across different brands, channels, and products.

Requirements

- 2–3 years of experience in data analysis, ideally supporting finance teams.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining financial forecasts for revenue, orders, or expenses.
- Experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce, with familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and Stripe data.
- Understanding of financial concepts, including revenue recognition, cost of goods sold, gross versus net sales, and contribution margin.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with Snowflake.
- Experience with Sigma or similar BI tools, such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.




- Familiarity with data transformation tools such as KNIME or dbt, or comparable experience with Alteryx or Python/Pandas.
- Understanding of payment processing, payouts, bank deposits, refunds, fees, and chargebacks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with QuickBooks and understanding its reporting structure.
- Familiarity with ELT tools such as Hevo, Fivetran, Airbyte, or Azure.
- Experience reconciling financial data across multiple systems and identifying the root causes of discrepancies.
