Position Summary

Agents are responsible for contacting customers with slightly overdue accounts early in the delinquency cycle, using a customer-service-oriented approach to secure payments while preserving customer relationships. Tasked to review each consumer’s account and provide the best options to begin working on their debts. Negotiation, active listening, and critical thinking skills are key to the success of this activity.

Key Responsibilities

- Outbound calls to consumers and verify the right party contacts.
- Review and validate account delinquency dates and principal balances.
- Follow compliance-approved scripts when communicating with applicants to ensure they are compliant.
- Update important account information.
- Conduct follow-up calls for consumers that are not willing to make payments at the moment.
- Address concerns, guide customers through their options, and help them confidently arrange payments
- Explore available solutions within client guidelines, focusing on settlement offers that ease the customers’ burden and move them toward a healthier financial position.

Duties





- Verification of consumer data and documentation.
- Scripted recording disclosure
- Review of underwriting criteria for settlement options.
- Update address and contact information.
- Escalate any debt relief or bankruptcy cases to Processing.
- Offer settlements or payment arrangements.

Qualifications

Experience

- At least 1 year of call center experience (required).
- Previous financial services, collections, or cold call sales experience preferred. (6 months – 1 year experience)

Skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English required; bilingual preferred).
- Ability to follow structured scripts while building rapport.
- Strong collections and negotiation skills.
- Outbound Dialers and CRM systems.
- Strong attention to detail and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets.
