Your Role

OTC Cash Applications Analyst at Aptiv
, you will support the accurate and timely application, reconciliation, and resolution of customer payments.
In this role, you will analyze payment and remittance information, perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and unidentified payments, and collaborate with different functions to maintain accurate customer accounts.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Applications & Payment Processing
Ensure timely application of payments received through wire transfers, ACH, checks, deposits, and other payment methods
Review bank transactions, payment files, cash reports, and remittance information
Analyze invoices, credit notes, deductions, bank references, and open items to determine the correct allocation of payments
Apply and clear payments in SAP and/or HighRadius in accordance with accounting policies and established procedures
Ensure receipts are recorded against the correct entity, account, and customer




Reconciliation & Exception Management
Perform daily and month-end reconciliations between bank accounts, Accounts Receivable, unapplied cash accounts, and the general ledger
Investigate unidentified payments, missing remittances, duplicate payments, overpayments, discrepancies, unrecognized references, and deposits received in incorrect bank accounts
Request remittance information and clarifications from customers, banks, Treasury, Collections, and other involved teams
Create, update, and close cases in ServiceNow or other case-management tools
Maintain accurate records and trackers for cash, residual items, pending remittances, and exceptions
Escalate high-value items, close risks, system failures, missing documentation, and unresolved cases according to established processes
