The Tour Appointment Infrastructure team helps home shoppers move from searching online to connecting with an agent and touring homes. Our charter is to make these steps simple and seamless, bringing together key parts of the homebuying experience across Zillow. We support how people buy homes today while building a foundation for new ways to connect, schedule, and explore homes in the future. Our work directly supports Zillow’s mission to help more people get home.

About the role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to build and evolve the backend services that power Zillow’s touring and agent connection experiences. You’ll work across Zillow, ShowingTime, and Follow Up Boss to bring these experiences together, solving challenges in performance, reliability, and integration across systems. Working alongside experienced engineers and product partners, you’ll contribute from design through launch and help shape how our team builds, tests, and operates software—including how we use AI to work more effectively.

You Will Get To:

- Build and maintain backend services that help consumers connect with agents, schedule tours, and manage appointments.

- Collaborate with engineers and product partners across teams to turn customer needs into reliable, scalable solutions.

- Own work from design through implementation, testing, launch, and ongoing operation, with support from experienced teammates.

- Contribute to code and design reviews, sharing ideas and helping the team make thoughtful technical decisions.

- Use AI in everyday development while applying sound engineering judgment and rigorous validation.

- Strengthen automated testing, monitoring, and deployment practices to help us deliver quickly and confidently.

- Investigate technical issues, understand their impact on customers, and improve the reliability and performance of our systems.

- Help improve how the team works through experimentation, shared learning, and insights from engineering metrics.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice,



which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

- You have 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend services and APIs.

- You have experience building and operating production systems, with attention to testing, reliability, and performance. Experience with Java, GraphQL, or Go is a plus.

- You’re eager to use AI tools in your development workflow and apply sound judgment to reviewing, testing, and validating their output.

- You take ownership of your work and follow through on commitments, asking for help when needed and surfacing risks early.

- You’re curious about how systems fit together and how technical decisions affect the customer experience.

- You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams, including in a remote work environment.
