World renowned Cellular Performance Institute looking for Cell Therapy Research Development Associates The Cellular Performance Institute, located in Playas de Tijuana, is looking for Research Development Associates responsible for performing cell processing and manufacturing activities in a controlled aseptic and cGMP environment, including blood product processing, equipment operation, and quality testing. Ensures compliance with SOPs and batch documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and safety standards.

We are considered by many to be the world’s premiere facility for stem cell treatments and manufacturing. Our weekly stream of clientele includes professional athletes from the UFC, NFL, MLB and more.

Responsibilities:

- Operate refrigerated centrifuges.
- Operate CO₂ incubators and monitor their parameters.
- Operate an inverted microscope.
- Operate a Class II biosafety cabinet using aseptic technique.
- Operate a Vactrap system.
- Assist in the generation of Master Cell Banks (MCBs).
- Thaw and seed cell products in accordance with current procedures.
- Perform cell expansion of cell products in accordance with current procedures.
- Harvest cell products in accordance with current procedures.
- Cryopreserve cell products in accordance with current procedures.
- Prepare culture media and solutions.
- Manufacture stem cells and other cell products according to the production plan.
- Perform technical procedures in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and manufacturing records, ensuring traceability at every stage.
- Document all activities involving cell products in real time in logbooks and records,



in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Comply with NOM-059, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), biosafety requirements, and the handling of biological-infectious hazardous waste (RPBI).
- Monitor equipment and operating conditions in cleanrooms and controlled areas.
- Record temperature, humidity, and gas levels for critical equipment.
- Assist with the cleaning and disinfection of critical equipment, including Class II biosafety cabinets, incubators, inverted microscopes, water baths, Vactrap systems, and centrifuges. This list is illustrative and not exhaustive.
- Assist with the introduction of materials, reagents, and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for cell product manufacturing processes. This list is illustrative and not exhaustive.
- Assist with the receipt of materials, reagents, supplies, and other items.
- Receive critical equipment, ensuring its integrity is maintained.
- Assist with inventory activities.
- Report any deviations during the production process, as well as improper practices by departments with external interactions that could compromise the quality of cell products.
- Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and Maintenance/Facilities teams.
- Assist in operating manufacturing systems, including electronic records and process controls.




- Propose process and documentation improvements to enhance operational efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a chemical-biological or related field; a master's degree is preferred but not required.
- 1 year of experience in a biotechnology or biomedical laboratory, preferably with cell culture handling.
- Previous experience in controlled environments (cleanrooms) and compliance with standardized procedures is desirable.
- Fluent English is required.
