We are looking for an IBM Guardium Specialist (Mid-Senior) to strengthen our data protection and database security capabilities in highly critical business environments. About the position You will be responsible for the administration, operation, optimization and evolution of the IBM Guardium platform, ensuring the protection of sensitive data, the continuous monitoring of database activities, the detection of internal and external threats, the management of vulnerabilities and regulatory compliance. You will have a key consultative and technical role collaborating with cybersecurity, infrastructure, database, auditing and compliance teams, contributing to the protection of critical business information. Responsibilities Administer, implement, configure and support the IBM Guardium Data Protection platform. Design and maintain Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) policies, auditing and monitoring access to sensitive information. Configure, operate and optimize Guardium components such as Collectors, Aggregators, Central Managers, CAS (Central Audit System), S-TAP and GIM. Implement Data Discovery & Classification processes to identify and protect sensitive information. Run Vulnerability Assessments and Hardening Assessments on enterprise database platforms. Configure access controls, alert generation, workflows and response mechanisms for suspicious or unauthorized activities. Develop operational, executive and regulatory reports for auditing, compliance and risk management. Integrate IBM Guardium with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, Splunk and Arc Sight. Manage patches, updates, backups, and platform recovery activities. Participate in investigations of security incidents related to improper access to data and critical information. Support regulatory compliance initiatives under frameworks such as PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001, HIPAA and personal data protection regulations.



Generate service indicators, risk metrics and executive dashboards. Provide specialized technical advice to database, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams. Participate in projects to implement, expand, optimize or migrate IBM Guardium solutions in corporate environments. Required experience and knowledge Between 4 and 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, data security or database security. Minimum 3 years of experience managing IBM Guardium Data Protection platforms. Practical experience in monitoring, auditing, protecting and governing sensitive data. Strong knowledge of enterprise database monitoring architectures Experience working with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgre SQL, My SQL and IBM DB2 databases. Knowledge of Linux/Unix for administration and support of security platforms. Basic or intermediate scripting experience with Bash, Power Shell or Python for task automation. Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments (On-Premise, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud) will be highly valued. Knowledge of hardening practices, vulnerability management, access auditing, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Zero Trust, IAM/PAM, SIEM and incident response.
