About the Role

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage the procurement of raw materials, components, machinery, spare parts, and services necessary for the production and operation of our plant, ensuring quality, optimal pricing, and on-time delivery.

Purpose of the Position

- To work with Plant Management to ensure that procurement activities are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner, while meeting the required standards for materials, equipment, and/or products.

Responsibilities

- Ensure the supply of production materials: procurement of raw materials, factory equipment, office supplies, etc.
- Manage quality issues and complaints regarding equipment, products, and/or materials delivered with defects, in poor condition, or incorrectly.
- Evaluate contracts, compare prices, and provide a detailed breakdown of requirements.
- Review and analysis of technical data sheets.
- Monitoring and tracking delivery dates, quantities, payment terms, and other related matters.
- Supplier management and evaluation.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the company’s general purchasing policies.




- Conducting a comprehensive evaluation of suppliers in accordance with the Group’s requirements and continuously developing and optimizing local suppliers and ensuring that there are at least three relevant suppliers for each requirement.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields

Required Skills

- A minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in corporate procurement and at production plants in large companies is required
- Knowledge of leasing contracts, as well as the rental and/or purchase of industrial equipment.
- Preferably residing in the western region of Hidalgo or willing to relocate.
- Strong numerical and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented and highly analytical.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, procurement systems, and coordination with other internal departments.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (B2) is preferred
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred
