Resource Teacher Elm Street School Requirements Maine Department of Education (093) Certification CHRC Required Long Term Substitute Teacher Program Resource Room Grades 4-6 Start Date December 14th, 2026 Duration Approximately 12 weeks (there will be a 2 week winter break in December) Certification Maine 282 Special Education certification preferred/required Pay Range $122 - $263.00 Daily We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher to support students in our grade 4-6 resource riin at Elm Street School. Applicants should have or be willing to develop the following skills Experience working with students with disabilities preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with students, families, and staff. Ability to follow and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)



and behavior support plans. Ability to provide structured, supportive, and engaging instruction for students with diverse learning needs. Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques in literacy and mathematics preferred. Willingness to learn and implement individualized strategies, supports, and accommodations based on student needs. Ability to work collaboratively with special education staff, educational technicians, related service providers, and general education staff.
