You'll join a 100-year-old American manufacturer of premium kitchen appliances — family-owned for four generations, still manufacturing in-house in Ohio, and selling in 130 countries. Its machines are built to survive years of daily use in home kitchens and commercial foodservice alike, and that durability starts long before final assembly: with every part that arrives from a supplier.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll be the quality voice across the North American supply base. Working with Sourcing, Engineering, Operations and the suppliers themselves, you'll drive supplier qualification,
launch readiness and continuous improvement — partnering with suppliers to raise their manufacturing capability, not just inspect it.
This is a hands-on, on-site role. Expect to travel 25–40% of the time, mostly within North America, to run audits, lead investigations and support product launches at supplier facilities.
What You'll Do
- Supplier performance. Manage quality for your assigned suppliers — performance reviews, audits and corrective actions — and track results through established metrics.
- Quality planning. Define and implement quality requirements for new and existing suppliers, and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Supplier development. Run capability assessments and quality-system evaluations, and partner with suppliers to strengthen processes, process controls and inspection methods.
- Drawings and GD&T.; Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T; to assess supplier capability and resolve dimensional issues.
