Higher Transport is looking for a Carrier Relations & Logistics Intern to support our carrier and driver operations team.
This role will focus on recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining communication with carriers and drivers interested in working with Higher Transport. The intern will also be responsible for following up on required documentation and acting as a first point of contact between carriers, drivers, and the company.
Responsibilities:
- Contact potential carriers and drivers interested in joining our fleet.
- Explain the opportunity and onboarding process.
- Follow up with interested carriers and drivers throughout the application process.
- Collect, review, and track required documents and information.
- Follow up on missing, expired, or pending documentation.
- Maintain carrier and driver records organized and up to date.
- Serve as a first point of contact for carriers and drivers.
- Assist with questions, requests, and communication between carriers and Higher Transport.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Support daily administrative and operational tasks.
Requirements:
- Current student or recent graduate in Logistics, Business, International Trade, Administration, or a related field.
- Conversational English.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable making calls and communicating with carriers and drivers.
- No previous logistics experience required.
