The Lead Engineer is responsible for leading engineering activities related to product design, development, product transference, validation, and continuous improvement while providing technical guidance to engineering teams. This role drives engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring products meet performance, quality, manufacturability, and cost objectives. The position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, supports problem-solving initiatives, and applies engineering methodologies to improve product reliability, manufacturing efficiency, and customer value.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead engineering projects and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams. Improve the financial impact of engineering activities on the business and thorough understanding of how other functions impact the business.
- Responsible for managing projects requiring multiple components and sub-systems integration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering team members.
- Drive product and process improvements using Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA), Design for Ergonomics, Value Engineering, and Value Analysis methodologies.
- Develop a control plan to resolve DFMEA issues including the identification of Key Control Characteristics
- Conduct root cause investigations utilizing 8D, 5 Whys,



Fishbone Diagrams and other problem-solving tools.
- Perform statistical analysis, tolerance stack-ups. Fluent in manufacturing processes and leading improvement initiatives.
- Develop and evaluate engineering solutions using mathematical modeling and numerical analysis techniques.
- Support product development activities utilizing Teamcenter, Solid Edge, or similar engineering systems.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and product launches.
- Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and project status to management and cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to cost reduction, quality improvement, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in product development, product transferences, manufacturing, or related engineering functions.
- Experience leading engineering teams and technical projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
- Proficiency with Teamcenter, Solid Edge, or comparable engineering software.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Availability to travel up to 10% and work off-shift hours when required.
