About the Role

We are looking for a Manager - Fund & Investment Accounting to join our growing team in GDS Mexico. In this role, you will lead the accounting and administration delivery for complex real estate investment structures, funds, portfolios, and related legal entities.

This position offers the opportunity to lead high-performing teams in a dynamic international environment while collaborating with general stakeholders across fund accounting, investment accounting, financial reporting, and operational accounting processes. You will play a key role in overseeing delivery quality, managing stakeholder relationships, developing talent, and driving operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of fund and investment accounting operations for assigned funds, investments, portfolios, and legal entities.
- Plan work allocation, manage team capacity, monitor workflows, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Review complex journal entries, trial balances, reconciliations, NAV schedules, financial reporting packages, and supporting analyses.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, reporting readiness, and operational controls.
- Manage issue resolution, investigate accounting variances, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve open items.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders through status reporting, risk management, prioritization, and escalations.
- Lead, coach, and develop Senior and Staff professionals while fostering accountability, quality, and continuous learning.
- Support audit readiness, financial reporting requirements, and compliance with established controls and documentation standards.




- Drive process improvement, standardization, automation, and operational excellence initiatives across the function.
- Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, training, and capability-building initiatives for the accounting and administration team.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in:
- Fund Accounting
- Investment Accounting
- Private Equity
- Real Estate Accounting
- Financial Reporting
- Audit
- Controllership
- Similar accounting operations environments
- Previous experience leading teams, workstreams, or complex accounting operations.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, financial statements, and complex accounting reviews.
- Experience with investment structures, fund administration, or investment management operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to leverage reporting and analysis tools effectively.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and coaching capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and operational risks in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of professionalism, accountability, confidentiality, and sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience within Fund Administration, Private Equity, Real Estate Funds, or Investment Management environments.
- Experience overseeing NAV reporting, capital activity, investment accounting, and fund reporting processes.
- Experience leading accounting transformation, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
