Tasks and responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials
- Prepare paperwork so supplies and parts can be shipped
- Invoices and maintain shipping documents
- Track and control inventory levels
- Oversee inventory records
- Establish vendor relationships
- Maintain vendor files
- Maintain purchasing and inventory records
- Review product specifications and requirements
- Provide purchasing assistance to management.
- Execute and promptly follow up on purchase orders and international shipments (door to door) verifying incoterms, delivery conditions, commercial conditions, etc.
- Ensure the correct preparation of pedimentos, commercial invoices, certificates of origin and other documentation required by the customs authorities.
- Ensure that operations comply with current legal frameworks, international treaties (such as T_MEC) and tariff and non-tariff regulations.
- Design of optimal logistics. (costs, delivery times, etc.)
- Government procedures (Semarnart, Sedena, etc.)
- Supplier Development
- Quotations for direct and indirect materials.
Position requirements / Profile of position (qualifications)
- At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, import, export
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Fluent in English
- Vast knowledge of tariffs and international treaties
- Negotiation skills
- Knowledge on Vucem
- Computer skills
- Local and international customs laws
