About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Fund & Investment Accounting Analyst to join our growing team in EY GDS Mexico. In this role, you will support the accounting and administration of complex real estate investment structures, funds, portfolios, and related legal entities.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic international environment, collaborating with integral stakeholders while gaining exposure to fund accounting, investment accounting, financial reporting, and operational accounting processes. You will also play a key role in reviewing deliverables, supporting junior team members, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage recurring accounting and administration deliverables for funds, investments, portfolios, and legal entities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, trial balances, account reconciliations, and supporting workpapers.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including financial reporting and NAV-related activities.
- Review debt schedules, cash activity, capital activity, distributions, expense allocations, and intercompany transactions.
- Analyze fund-, investment-, property-, and entity-level accounting information and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain required information and resolve outstanding items.
- Review work completed by junior professionals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established controls and procedures.
- Maintain workflow trackers, status reports, audit trails, and supporting documentation.
- Support audits,



financial reporting requirements, and information requests.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to standardization, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Coach and mentor junior team members while fostering knowledge sharing across the team.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in:
- Fund Accounting
- Investment Accounting
- Private Equity
- Real Estate Accounting
- Financial Reporting
- Audit
- Controllership
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Similar accounting operations environments
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Knowledge of investment structures and financial instruments.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including large-volume data analysis and complex reconciliations.
- Experience reviewing accounting work and identifying root causes of accounting variances.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of professionalism, accountability, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience within Fund Administration, Private Equity, Real Estate Funds, or Investment Management environments.
- Exposure to fund closes, NAV calculations, investor reporting, and property-level accounting activities.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior team members.
