About STRONG Pilates

STRONG Pilates is a rapidly growing global fitness franchise combining Pilates-inspired movement with high-intensity, low-impact training.

With operations spanning 15 countries, approximately 130 studios open worldwide, and more than 200 territories sold, STRONG is experiencing significant international growth.

As the business continues to scale, we're looking for a talented, proactive Senior Accountant to help strengthen its integral finance and accounting operations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing international business and work directly alongside its Controller.

As Senior Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting the monthly close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and improving financial workflows across multiple international entities.

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting fundamentals with a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset. You'll be comfortable managing the details while also identifying opportunities to improve processes, introduce efficiencies, and help build a more scalable finance function.

This is not a narrowly defined accounting position. You'll have the opportunity to take meaningful ownership, contribute ideas, and grow your responsibilities as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations & Month-End Close

- Support the monthly close process across multiple legal entities.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Review financial accounts, investigate discrepancies,

and ensure accurate reporting.
- Maintain organized accounting records and schedules within NetSuite.

Accounts Receivable & Payable

- Manage franchise-related billing, including royalties, franchise fees, and varying contractual billing arrangements.
- Monitor accounts receivable, outstanding balances, and collections.
- Support accounts payable processes, vendor communications, and invoice management.
- Help establish clear ownership and efficient workflows for day-to-day accounting activities.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

- Assist with monthly financial reporting and management reporting packages.
- Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Review Excel-based financial models for accuracy and consistency.
- Partner with the Controller to provide reliable financial information to business leadership.

Process Improvement & Automation

- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Help document and standardize accounting workflows.
- Leverage NetSuite and other technology tools to improve financial operations.
- Explore opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

Required

- Strong professional experience in accounting, ideally at the Senior Accountant level or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience using Oracle NetSuite.
- Solid understanding of journal entries, accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close.

- Experience working with general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of deliverables.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Availability to collaborate during U.S. business hours.

Preferred

- Previous ownership of significant portions of the month-end close process.
- Experience working with U.S.-based or international companies.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, franchise businesses, or other multi-location organizations.
- Background in a high-growth company or startup environment.
- Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, or cash flow forecasting.
- Prior public accounting or Big Four experience.
- Familiarity with AI tools, accounting automation, or finance process optimization.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role? The idóneo candidate is someone who:

- Takes ownership: Proactively identifies what needs to be done and follows through without constant supervision.
- Understands the bigger picture: Can recognize when financial balances or transactions don't make sense and investigate independently.
- Is hands-on: Comfortable handling both routine accounting tasks and more complex financial responsibilities.
- Thrives in growth environments: Enjoys building processes and bringing structure to an evolving business.
- Thinks like a partner: Brings ideas, asks thoughtful questions, and works collaboratively with the Controller.
- Embraces technology: Looks for opportunities to work smarter through better systems, automation, and AI.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $92,400.00 per month
