Employment type: Full-timeSeniority: Mid-Senior levelAbout the roleAvant Group is looking for an IT Infrastructure Liaison & Consultant to be our resident technical expert and the face of our company at a key client site in Sahagún, Mexico.You'll run and improve the client's core infrastructure day to day.
You'll also be the link between our English-speaking engineering team and the Spanish-speaking client teams, so both sides can work as one.
Along the way, you'll spot where the client's setup is holding them back and help them solve it with new services and solutions.What you'll doBe the main point of contact between our corporate engineering team (English) and local client stakeholders (Spanish)Translate technical requirements, project updates and business needs clearly in both directionsHandle day-to-day communication, technical reporting and the health of the client relationshipFind opportunities to improve the client's infrastructure and recommend new servicesManage and troubleshoot Cisco networking: switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, routing and VPNsAdminister and optimize the VMware vSphere environment: hosts, VM lifecycle, clustering and resource allocationAct as primary administrator for Windows Server: Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and account provisioningConfigure and monitor enterprise storage (SAN/NAS)



with a focus on high availability, data retention and disaster recovery readinessProvide Tier 2/3 support to resolve critical errors and downtime quicklyWhat we're looking forProfessional fluency in Spanish (native or near-native, for Mexican business settings) and strong professional English.
A perfect accent isn't required, but you must be comfortable discussing complex technical architecture with our engineers5+ years in IT infrastructure engineering, systems administration or a similar client-facing technical roleDeep knowledge of Cisco IOS/NX-OS, hardware configuration and network securityStrong experience managing enterprise VMware environmentsProven Windows Server administration experience, with strong Active Directory skillsHands‐on experience with enterprise storage platforms and backup toolsExcellent communication and consultative skills, with a natural ability to build trust and spot business opportunitiesNice to have (certifications are not mandatory; equivalent hands‐on experience counts)CCNA or CCNPVMware Certified Professional (VCP)Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator AssociateWhat we offerCompensation and benefits to be discussed during the interview.
