Role purpose The Senior Engineering Manager for API Platforms leads the engineering organization responsible for the Americas API ecosystem. Main activities
- Own the technical strategy and multi-year engineering roadmap for API platforms, gateways, service connectivity, developer tooling and API lifecycle management across the Americas.
- Lead architecture decisions for REST and event-driven interfaces, microservices, identity and access, traffic management, versioning, resiliency, observability and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Establish and govern API standards covering design, security, data classification, documentation, testing, release, consumption, deprecation and retirement.
- Create reusable platform capabilities and self-service workflows that allow product teams to publish and consume APIs safely and quickly.
