Medical Case Manager – Personal Injury (Pain Management)

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Medical Case Manager to support a busy pain management practice specializing in personal injury cases.

This position focuses on the medical provider side of personal injury case management, working directly with attorneys, paralegals, and legal case managers to coordinate patient care, obtain necessary documentation, and ensure patients are cleared and ready for treatment.

The ideal candidate must be proactive, an excellent communicator, and capable of independently managing 70+ active cases while maintaining accuracy, organization, and timely follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage a caseload of 70+ active personal injury patients.

● Communicate regularly with law firms, attorneys, paralegals, and legal case managers.

● Obtain and verify insurance policy limits, liability information, and case details.

● Gather and review HIPAA authorizations and other required documentation.

● Ensure all necessary paperwork and case information are complete before patients receive treatment.

● Coordinate patient appointments,



treatment updates, and follow-ups.

● Maintain accurate patient records and case notes.

● Track pending information and proactively follow up with law firms to prevent treatment delays.

● Identify and resolve documentation or communication issues efficiently.

● Take on additional responsibilities and leadership opportunities as the company grows.

Qualifications

● Previous experience in personal injury medical case management, pain management, or medical provider operations strongly preferred.

● Understanding of personal injury claims, insurance coverage, liability, and HIPAA requirements.

● Experience communicating with personal injury law firms.

● Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with exceptional attention to detail.

● Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment.
