We are seeking a contractor to partner closely with a leader across multiple initiatives. This person will keep commitments moving, make progress and risks visible, and turn complex technical work into clear proposals and updates for stakeholders and leadership.

The idóneo candidate acts quickly, takes ownership, and communicates proactively. They do not wait to be asked for a status update or reminded to follow up. They identify what needs attention, pursue answers, and bring forward concise updates and recommendations.

Responsibilities

- Attend key meetings, capture decisions and action items, and maintain clear owners, due dates, and next steps.
- Follow up rigorously with action owners, track commitments through completion, and escalate delays or unresolved dependencies early.
- Maintain a consolidated view of initiative status, milestones, risks, decisions needed, and upcoming work.
- Prepare leadership presentations, initiative proposals, project status reports, and stakeholder communications.
- Tailor the level of detail to the audience.
- Create clear diagrams that show system relationships, integrations, workflows, and dependencies, working with technical owners to confirm accuracy.
- Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to gather information, resolve open questions, and keep work moving.
- Recommend improvements to reporting and follow-up processes so that information is reliable and easy to find.

Qualifications

- Experience in technical program management, strategic initiatives, business operations, or a similar role supporting multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Strong ownership and follow-through: a demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous discussions into concrete actions and drive them to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to synthesize detailed information into concise leadership materials.




- Advanced PowerPoint skills and the ability to create effective diagrams and status reporting using appropriate tools.
- Working knowledge of how software systems interact. The candidate should be comfortable discussing APIs, RESTful services, XML, message queues (MQ), and common AWS components such as API Gateway.
- Hands-on engineering experience is welcome but is not required.
- Sound judgment about when to work independently, when to seek clarification, and when to escalate a risk or decision.

Role Responsibilities

- The program manager will run multiple concurrent projects and work closely with the hiring manager across many meetings. The role will focus on tracking agreements and action items, ensuring follow-ups are completed, proactively reporting progress, and providing updates rather than primarily taking meeting minutes, since AI tools could support meeting-minute creation
- The program manager will turn the hiring managers project and improvement ideas into presentation-ready proposals for senior leaders by gathering missing context, adding supporting information, and using PowerPoint or similar tools

Five areas in their current scope: modernizing partner-channel integrations with Expedia, Priceline, and other online travel agencies; managing strategic partnerships with airlines, hotel chains, and credit card companies; retiring the legacy Mulesoft system and its internal dependencies; leading dynamic pricing for value-added products such as coverage and equipment; and owning Hertz location services for address, airport, and nearby-location searches

Qualifications

-Proactive in communication and follow-ups, take full ownership of assigned areas, pursue possible paths to completion, and report blockers in time -Bachelor's degree or higher -Relevant prior experience in technical program or project management -Basic conceptual understanding of software development topics such as APIs, SOAP APIs, and RESTful APIs -No specialized reporting tools were required; email was considered sufficient beyond basic PowerPoint use
