The position serves as the technical single point of contact for the complete project and guides the cross-functional team in delivering safe, reliable, compliant, manufacturable, and cost-effective product solutions.

What will you do?

- Serve as the technical single point of contact for the complete project throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead and coordinate technical activities according to project priorities, requirements, milestones, and the shared team backlog.
- Guide the team in shared technical decisions related to design architecture, material selection, electrical design, mechanical design, thermal design, design tradeoffs, verification strategy, and technical-risk acceptance.
- Ensure technical decisions are evidence-based, documented, aligned with product requirements, and escalated when approval by the appropriate authority is required.
- Translate customer, product, regulatory, manufacturing, and business needs into clear technical requirements and engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate electrical design, mechanical design, modeling and simulation, verification and validation, laboratory testing, quality, manufacturing, industrialization, procurement, suppliers, product management, project management, codes and standards, customer support, and field services.
- Define and estimate technical activities, dependencies, deliverables, resource needs, and technical debt.
- Identify, assess, communicate, and drive mitigation of technical risks and unresolved design issues.
- Ensure design feasibility, reliability, safety, efficiency, manufacturability, compliance, product performance, and Design-to-Cost objectives.
- Coordinate design reviews, prototypes, verification and validation activities, compliance testing, and closure of technical issues.
- Influence the engineering budget, project schedule, technical priorities, and resource plan in coordination with project stakeholders.
- Provide functional technical leadership, guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring to project contributors without direct-report responsibility.
- Communicate technical status, decisions, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
