Resumen: The MRP Buyer is responsible for planning and purchasing raw materials, components, and supplies based on the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to support production and ensure on-time delivery. This position ensures optimal inventory levels, supplier performance, and cost control while maintaining compliance with company policies and quality standards. **Responsabilidades**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Analyze MRP reports to determine material requirements and purchasing priorities.
- Place purchase orders for raw materials, components, and indirect items according to production schedules.
- Monitor and follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and avoid production interruptions.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support manufacturing operations and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm lead times, pricing, and order status.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, and Quality teams to ensure material availability.
- Resolve supply issues, delays, and discrepancies in collaboration with suppliers and internal departments.




- Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Track supplier performance including delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
- Maintain accurate and updated information in ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or planning within a manufacturing environment (maquiladora preferred).
- Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.
- Understanding of inventory control, production planning, and supply chain processes.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
