TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, general savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
**Job Requirements**
- **Education**
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field).
- Master’s Degree preferred.
**Professional Experience**
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement, including at least 5 years in Direct Procurement roles such as:
- Strategic Sourcing Analyst
- Commodity Manager / Category Manager
- Category Buyer
- Demonstrated experience managing commodities such as:
- Fabricated metals
- Fasteners
- Die casting components
- Industry experience:
- Electronics industry (required)
- Automotive industry (preferred)
**Category & Supplier Management**




- Proven experience working as a Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Strategic Sourcing Specialist, or Category Buyer _(Must Have - minimum 7 years)_
- Strong capabilities in Supplier Management _(Must Have)_
**Technical Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with SPC/Statistical Tools
- Experience with SAP _(Must Have)_
- Experience with Contract Management _(Must Have)_
- Demonstrated competence in Cost & Savings Analysis _(Must Have)_
