- The Test Engineer role involves _responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment. _
**What a typical day looks like**:
- _Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing. _
- _Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data. _
- _Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues. _
- _Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel. _
- _May develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software. _
- _Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques. _




- _Resolves test yield problems by performing evaluation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements. _
- _Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production. _
- _Create and maintain process documentation. _
- _Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector. _
- _Defines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations. _
**The experience we’re looking to add to our team**:
- _Mechanical Engineer, Electromechanical Engineer or equivalent work experience. _
- Experience with SQL and other programming/scripting languages is a plus.
- _Advanced English. _
- _Develops instrument drivers. _
- _Leadership for managing work teams and effective communication with other departments. _
- _Designs and supports functional test hardware, computer platforms and interfaces. _
- _Coordinates 3rd party development of functional test development, enhancements, test fixtures. _
- _Designs, develops and/or supports environmental test programs, procedures and profiles. _
- _Designs and/or supports mechanical/electrical interfaces for product tests. _
- _Performs failure analysis on environmental test failures _
