General Ledger Accountant

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to support key accounting and reporting activities within one of our Client's offices in the Retail Industry. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Responsibilities

- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and bank reconciliations.
- Support IFRS accounting and local GAAP requirements.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and IFRS 16 activities.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine.




- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audit requests.
- Partner with Controllers, Finance Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate financial results.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Economics.
- 3–5 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
- Experience in General Ledger accounting and month-end close activities.
- Knowledge of IFRS; local GAAP knowledge is a plus.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Strong Excel and communication skills.
