Meztal is seeking a Systems Administrator & IT SOX Compliance Specialist to join our team.
This role combines hands-on systems administration with IT compliance responsibilities, supporting the reliability, security, and integrity of IT systems while maintaining effective controls aligned with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.The adecuado candidate brings strong technical systems administration experience, a solid understanding of IT controls and compliance practices, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support operational efficiency and audit readiness.ResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain, and support IT systems to ensure reliability, security, and operational continuitySupport IT SOX compliance activities, including the implementation, documentation, monitoring, and maintenance of relevant IT controlsManage and support IT Application Controls (ITACs), ensuring appropriate documentation and evidence of control executionAssist with IT General Controls (ITGCs), including access management, change management, and IT operations controls, as applicableCoordinate the collection and organization of supporting documentation for internal and external auditsIdentify potential control gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for process improvementSupport user access administration, including provisioning, modifications, periodic reviews, and deactivation processesTroubleshoot system-related issues and coordinate resolutions to minimize operational disruptionsMaintain accurate documentation of system configurations, administrative procedures, and relevant IT control activitiesCollaborate with IT, Finance, Compliance, and other stakeholders to support system integrity and SOX compliance objectivesAssist with remediation activities related to identified IT control deficienciesPromote consistent application of IT policies, security practices,



and internal control proceduresRequirementsExperienceProven professional experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure supportExperience supporting SOX compliance activities, including IT Application Controls (ITACs)Experience documenting, maintaining, or supporting IT controls and audit evidenceFamiliarity with IT General Controls (ITGCs) and internal control frameworksProven experience working with U.S.-based teams or stakeholdersTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of systems administration, user access management, and IT security principlesKnowledge of IT control documentation, testing support, and compliance processesAbility to identify and troubleshoot technical and operational issuesUnderstanding of change management, access controls, and system monitoring practicesAbility to maintain accurate technical documentation and compliance recordsLanguageAdvanced English proficiency, both written and verbalSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsEffective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong sense of accountability, confidentiality, and ownershipBenefitsWhy Join MezTal?
