Main Objectives
The purchasing manager is responsible for sourcing the best supplies and suppliers for the company, while managing the cost structure of raw materials and indirect materials to generate profits for the company.
Additionally, the purchasing manager leads commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms for the company.

Key Challenges
Represent the company in contract negotiations and the formulation of policies with suppliers.
Develop cost-reduction strategies and savings plans.
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management guidelines, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities
• Develop purchasing strategies based on an understanding of the business unit and the supply chain
• Develop the supplier base
• Create an annual cost-saving plan for raw materials
• Conduct a SWOT analysis for the purchasing process
• Participate in NPI projects
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers
• Manage, process, and submit supplier contracts,



ensuring that suppliers meet minimum performance and contractual requirements, including quality costs and delivery accuracy
• Manage relationships with internal clients
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects
• Ensure that you meet your technical and leadership development goals in accordance with the plans established by the company based on your position as identified in the training matrix.
• In your work area: identify, report, and correct hazardous conditions, as well as in any other area of the plant.
• Comply with our customers’ requirements and the company’s quality, environmental, safety, and health management system policies and objectives.
