About the Role:
The Materials Supervisor is responsible for leading the material planning team to ensure timely availability of components, raw materials, and production supplies required to support manufacturing operations.This role oversees material requirements planning, inventory control, supplier follow-up, shortage management, and coordination with procurement, production, logistics, engineering, and customer planning teams.The position plays a key role in maintaining production continuity, optimizing inventory levels, preventing line stoppages, and ensuring that planning activities are aligned with customer demand, production schedules, and business objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the material planning team.
• Ensure timely release and follow-up of material requirements based on production plans, customer demand, and MRP signals.
• Monitor component availability to support production schedules and prevent shortages or line interruptions.




• Review and manage inventory levels to achieve optimal balance between material availability and inventory targets.
• Coordinate with purchasing, suppliers, logistics, warehouse, production, and engineering teams to resolve material issues.
• Lead shortage meetings and drive action plans for critical materials.
• Analyze demand changes, forecast variations, and their impact on material availability.
• Ensure compliance with planning parameters, lead times, safety stock levels, minimum order quantities, and supplier constraints.
• Monitor supplier performance related to delivery commitments and escalate risks as needed.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, phase-in/phase-out activities, and end-of-life material planning.
• Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems, including delivery dates, material status, and planning assumptions.
