Position: Senior CAD Designer

As an Senior CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying automated processes using UiPath Software. You will work closely with business analysts, centralized developers, and stakeholders to create efficient and scalable automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business value.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in CAD design (automotive preferred)
- Advanced expertise in NX (Siemens), 3D modeling, and 2D drawing creation
- Strong knowledge of GD&T;, DFM/DFA, and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Experience with PLM systems (TCE or equivalent)
- Strong English communication and mentoring skills

Main Activities:

- Leads all CAD projects assigned, mentors/guides junior Designers and Engineers assigned to the same projects.Does checking of all models (of self and others working on the project) to ensure correct fit, function, manufacturability, and design intent has been captured.
- Uses proper sketcher based parametric 3D modeling methodology 100% of the time, with improvements that increase efficiency.Maintains good TcE folder structure for data storage in TcE based on customer/program/part type 100% of the time.




- Verifies all changes by creating 3D and 2D compare overlays in TcE Vis. 100% of the time.
- Adheres to project's agreed schedule, meeting all milestone due dates and design intent ahead of schedule with no 3D model/ 2Derrors.
- Proactively sets up regular reviews with Design and Engineering teams to discuss project status and direction.Clearly communicates and follows up with any potential problems or issues to prevent any impact to project, taking full responsibility of the issue.
- 3D modeling adds value to Design Engineers direction (improve Design for Manufacture), utilizes Standards, and make effective and simplified structure.
- Contributes to product improvement including profitability, through design/drawing expertise (reduce- complexity/assy time/die complexity).
