OTA Automotive Test Analyst

Location: Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, or Querétaro

We are looking for an OTA Automotive Test Analyst to support the verification and validation of automotive Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates. You will develop automated tests, improve testing frameworks, investigate defects, and collaborate with general engineering teams to help deliver reliable vehicle software updates.

Key Responsibilities

- Design automated test strategies using vTestStudio and custom frameworks for functional and regression testing.
- Develop and maintain test frameworks, reusable scripts, and libraries using Python, Bash, and CAPL.
- Execute verification and validation test plans for embedded and system-level automotive components.
- Analyze test results, investigate the root causes of defects, and document findings for development and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and project teams to refine requirements and maintain comprehensive test coverage.
- Improve test execution pipelines to reduce execution time while maintaining accurate defect detection.
- Document test procedures, environment configurations, and test data management practices.
- Provide technical guidance on vTestStudio, scripting, and test framework development.
- Coordinate test cycles and dependencies with global teams, with occasional travel to customer or partner sites.
- Communicate test progress, risks, and defect trends in English.





Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with vTestStudio, including test design, configuration management, and automotive toolchain integration.
- Advanced Python scripting skills for test automation and framework development.
- Experience with Bash for environment setup, log handling, and batch execution on Linux or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in CAPL for automotive communication and bus-level testing.
- Proven experience in automotive verification and validation.
- Experience developing reusable, scalable test frameworks with configuration and reporting capabilities.
- Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or an equivalent software testing certification.
- Training in automotive verification and validation practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per month
