Eaton’s IS VEH Functions division is currently seeking a Supplier Development Engineer.
Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. What you’ll do:

Leverage technical expertise in manufacturing processes and Supplier Development Engineering (SDE) methodologies to support supplier qualification, product and process development, and launch readiness across the integral supply base. Lead supplier feasibility assessments, execute APQP activities, and PPAP approvals to ensure robust, on-time, and safe launches.



Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance and manufacturing readiness.

Job Responsibilities
• Conduct supplier qualification audits to assess quality, and technical capabilities against business and product requirements; perform periodic requalification audits to ensure ongoing compliance and capability.
• Perform supplier feasibility assessments in support of new sourcing activities and new programs to confirm supplier understanding of product requirements and manufacturing capability; participate in cross-functional sourcing decisions by providing technical and supplier capability input.
• Manage APQP activities with suppliers from program kickoff through PPAP approval to ensure readiness for production.
• Support and monitor Safe Launch activities following PPAP to ensure flawless, on-time, and stable production launches.
