The 12th Grade Social Studies - Economics Teacher is responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging economics curriculum to high school seniors. This teacher will help students understand economic principles, financial literacy, and the role of economics in both local and general contexts. The role focuses on preparing students for college and real-world financial decision-making by instilling critical thinking,



analytical skills, and a deep understanding of economic systems.

Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development: Create and implement a robust curriculum that covers macroeconomics, microeconomics, and financial literacy. Topics may include supply and demand, market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, international trade, personal finance, and investment.

• Instruction: Deliver high-quality lessons that are aligned with state standards. Use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, project-based learning, and real-life case studies.

• Student Engagement: Inspire and motivate students to engage with economics, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving. Relate economic concepts to current events and students' everyday lives.
