DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco

Experience: 4–12 years

We are looking for a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to automate infrastructure, manage containerized applications, and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Amazon EKS.
- Maintain and optimize Kubernetes clusters, including pods, deployments, services, ingress, and RBAC.
- Automate infrastructure and operational workflows using Shell and Python.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins.
- Define and track service-level agreements, objectives, and indicators — SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.
- Implement observability using OpenTelemetry, dashboards in Grafana, and metrics and alerts in Prometheus.
- Manage logs, searches, and alerts using Splunk.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Support release management and participate in on-call rotations.
- Manage error budgets and drive improvements in system reliability.

Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.




- Experience deploying and operating workloads on AWS and Amazon EKS.
- Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python.
- Practical experience with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in distributed systems.
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with release management.

Nice to Have
- Java programming experience.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Exposure to Alibaba Cloud — AliCloud.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per month
